I’m a Creative/Art Director at the YMCA of Greater Springfield and a freelance photographer based in Western Massachusetts. I have a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Graphic Design and have spent much of my career working across a variety of creative projects, including branding, logos, posters, flyers, brochures, and other print and digital materials.

I enjoy taking an idea and turning it into something visual that feels clear, purposeful, and engaging. A big part of my work has been helping develop and maintain brand identities, while making sure the look and feel stays consistent across different types of projects and platforms.

Photography is another big part of my creative work. I especially enjoy photographing the night sky, wildlife, and landscapes. Being outdoors and photographing nature gives me a chance to approach creativity from a different perspective and continually learn something new.

I enjoy the mix of design and photography and the different challenges that each project brings. Whether I’m working on a brand, creating marketing materials, or out with a camera, I try to keep things thoughtful, simple, and visually engaging.

I’m also a brand ambassador for Move Shoot Move, a company that makes photography gear for astrophotography and other types of photography. You can use code JOHN for a discount on their products at Move Shoot Move.
